At the start of the year, Kingston Park stadium hosted three coaching camps, organised, and delivered by Falcons Community.
The coaching camps are designed to cater to all age groups, allowing participants to take part in a range of rugby skills, games, and activities including passing, tackling, kicking, and game tactics.
On the final day of the camp, the participants were treated to a special guest appearance by the Newcastle Falcons, bringing with them knowledge and experience to share with the aspiring players.
During the session, the Falcons players showed the participants some of their best tips and tricks, giving them invaluable insights. They also took part in a tense game of rugby tennis alongside the young players, making for an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The highlight of the week was when the Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) participants joined in on the pitch sessions playing rugby-themed games. They also had the opportunity of being part of the Guard of Honour ahead of the Newcastle Falcons vs. Harlequins fixture. Participants were thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of the pre-match ceremony, and it made the experience even more memorable.
Falcons Community is already looking forward to the next round of coaching camps, which will take place during the February half-term. These camps will continue to help the participants develop their rugby skills, promote teamwork, and provide a fun and engaging way to spend the holidays.
