Newcastle Rugby Foundation is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Development Officer (Maternity Cover).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to help make a positive difference across communities throughout the North East and Cumbria through the power of rugby.

Working as part of our Community team, the successful candidate will deliver engaging rugby-themed sessions across schools, community groups and rugby clubs, helping to inspire participants of all ages while supporting the growth of the game. The role will also contribute to the Foundation’s mission of boosting wellbeing, growing skills, raising involvement and building belonging across our region.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 37.5 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends, with predominantly community-based delivery across Northumberland and the wider region.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a passion for community development and experience delivering rugby or physical activity programmes. Applicants should hold (or be working towards) an RFU Level 2 Coaching Award, have access to a vehicle and be committed to creating positive experiences for every participant.

If you’re ready to inspire the next generation and help change lives for good, we’d love to hear from you.
