Our Income Generation Manager, Charlie Roberts, shares her enthusiasm for the day: “This race day is a brilliant opportunity for our community to come together, have fun, and support something truly impactful. The funds raised will directly fuel programmes that support wellbeing, growth, and belonging across the North East – it’s not just about rugby, it’s about changing lives.”
The importance of our work has never been clearer. The North East faces significant challenges, with mental health and well-being concerns rising year on year. Recent statistics show that nearly one in four adults in the region experiences symptoms of a common mental health disorder annually. Social isolation and a lack of opportunities can leave many people feeling disconnected and unheard. This is where we step in. Each year, we work with over 15,000 individuals—young and old—across 30 community organisations, delivering programmes that boost self-confidence, educational skills, promote physical and emotional wellbeing, and create a sense of belonging.
Behind that number are real people: children dreaming of a brighter future, families rebuilding hope, and communities striving for resilience. Your support through this Race Day helps turn those dreams into realities.

Pre-sale tickets are available until 2pm on Friday 10 October. After this, tickets can be purchased on the day, with both cash and card accepted at the venue. Under-18s enter free of charge but must have their attendance registered through ticket booking. Family-friendly activities, including bouncy castles and garden games, will keep everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.
