Newcastle Red Bulls Academy and Newcastle Rugby Foundation have launched a new Coach Development programme to inspire coaches, challenge thinking and raise coaching standards across the region.
Running from September through to June, the programme will create memorable experiences that influence coaching behaviours and provide coaches with practical tools they can take directly into their coaching environments.
Practical experiences will sit at the heart of the programme, with theory used to underpin and develop learning. Coaches will have the opportunity to utilise Newcastle Red Bulls coaching resources and learn from experts across the game, while creating communities of practice that encourage collaboration, discussion and the sharing of ideas.
The programme will also explore different ways of reflecting, understanding and learning, with a focus on making development relevant to the real world of coaching.
Ultimately, the programme aims to inspire coaches from across the Newcastle Red Bulls region and drive the standard of coaching throughout the game.
FIVE COACH DEVELOPMENT CATEGORIES
The programme will feature five categories, providing coaches with development opportunities tailored to their coaching environment, experience and interests.
Masters
For first-team coaches and coaches working at Level 4 and above.
Coaching Females
Supporting coaches working within the female game and developing their approach to coaching female players.
Coaching Teenagers

Junior Coaches

Tribes

Each category will provide opportunities to learn, reflect and connect with other coaches, creating a community focused on continuous development.
The Newcastle Red Bulls Academy and Newcastle Rugby Foundation Coach Development programme is designed to go beyond theory, giving coaches experiences and ideas that can make a genuine difference in their coaching environments.
