As we build towards Foundation Day on 30th May, we’re proud to launch a brand-new content series celebrating the people at the heart of everything we do.

Our Faces of the Foundation series will shine a light on individuals whose stories capture what Newcastle Rugby Foundation is all about – community, resilience, and the power of sport to change lives.

We couldn’t think of a better person to kick things off than 12-year-old Tommy.

Why Tommy?

Tommy was chosen as our first spotlight because he truly embodies the Foundation’s values – not just in what he says, but in how he shows up every single day.

A passionate Newcastle Red Bulls season ticket holder and a regular at our camps, Tommy is a familiar face across our programmes. But it’s his character that really stands out.

He brings positive energy wherever he goes, lifting those around him with his enthusiasm and attitude.

He naturally makes connections, forming friendships easily and ensuring no one feels left out.

Tommy is always up for a challenge, throwing himself into new experiences and pushing himself to grow.

And above all, he is supportive and caring – looking out for others, showing maturity beyond his years, and reminding us all what community really means.

More Than Rugby

Tommy’s story is a powerful reminder that what happens off the pitch matters just as much as what happens on it.

At Newcastle Rugby Foundation, we believe in developing people, not just players. Through our #MoreThanRugby campaign, we’re proud to celebrate individuals like Tommy who represent the very best of what our community stands for.

Keep an eye on our channels as we share Tommy’s story – and stay tuned for more inspiring people in the coming weeks as we count down to Foundation Day.
