Newcastle Rugby Foundation welcomed business leaders and partners from across the North East to Kingston Park for a highly successful Business Breakfast, bringing together organisations committed to making a positive difference in their communities.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the Foundation’s impact across the region, while also exploring the role businesses can play in supporting and shaping the next generation.

At the heart of the event was a powerful discussion around leadership and the role we all play in supporting young people.

Attendees heard honest and inspiring insights from guest speakers Libby and Sam, who shared their heartwarming experiences of leadership, resilience and personal growth through their work with the Foundation. Their reflections reinforced a clear message; that strong, supportive leadership can have a lasting impact on young people’s confidence, direction and future opportunities.

Guests also heard more about the work of Newcastle Rugby Foundation, which has supported 18,500 people across the North East and Cumbria over the past year, delivering programmes focused on wellbeing, education and community development.

From helping young people progress into education and employment, to supporting individuals to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, the Foundation continues to demonstrate the power of sport as a force for good.

Building Momentum for the Future

The event also marked the launch of the Foundation’s 2024/25 Impact Report, highlighting the scale and significance of its work across the region.

As the Foundation looks ahead, collaboration with businesses and partners will remain essential to widening access, deepening impact and creating more opportunities for communities across the North East.
