The Great North Run 2024 is scheduled to take place on Sunday September 8. The half-marathon will see all participants take on 13.1 miles, starting in the heart of Newcastle and ending at the beautiful coastline of South Shields

Newcastle Rugby Foundation, (reg. charity 1107851) is looking for 12 individuals, who are willing to participate in the Great North Run and raise valuable funds to support the cause. By taking part in this event, you can contribute to the team’s efforts to use rugby as a tool for positive change that can transform people’s lives for the better.

Each year, the charity helps to improve the lives of over 15,000 people in the Northeast and Cumbria by promoting well-being, developing skills, increasing participation, and fostering a sense of belonging.

Those running as one of the Foundation’s twelve fundraisers are asked to raise a minimum of £250, with all monies going directly to the Newcastle Rugby Foundation, funding continued work in communities throughout the Northeast and Cumbria.

If you are interested in participating in the Great North Run as a charity fundraiser, please email with a brief description of why you would like to run for the Newcastle Rugby Foundation by January 31st.
